How To Turn CrossFit Haters Into Evangelists

Got haters? Read on to learn how to turn those CrossFit haters into evangelists. It’s seems like everywhere you look these days, someone is complaining or offended over nothing. Just check out the comments section on YouTube or on forums. People are constantly getting into battles over nothing. I could go into why people on the internet are so mean, but that’s for a different post. While much of the time haters should be ignored, sometimes it might be worthwhile to get them on your team, especially if they have a lot of influence.

Today, we’re going to use a technique called, “The Benjamin Franklin Effect” to turn haters into evangelists. It’s a powerful technique and should be used carefully.

Wikipedia defines The Benjamin Franklin Effect as: The Ben Franklin Effect is a psychological finding: A person who has done someone a favor is more likely to do that person another favor than they would be if they had received a favor from that person.

There are various ways people may be haters. They could leave nasty comments, reviews, videos, etc. When people hate on CrossFit they could be calling it a cult, judging the programming, the exercises, the atmosphere, the diets etc.

How can we apply the Benjamin Franklin Effect here. First, don’t try to help your haters. You should try to get your haters to help you. The best way to do this is to simply ask them. If they are hating on your meal plan, ask them to create a better meal plan so you can start implementing it with your community. Try and find

Is someone is nice to you, they’re more likely to be nice to you again. Also, if someone is mean to you they’re more likely to be mean to you.
